Open Resources and Creative Commons
Updated: Dec 12, 2017
Open Education is a global movement working for universal access to education.
Creative Commons believes that educational resources should be made freely available under an open licence, to enable anyone in the world to access and build upon the work. This includes resources produced or funded by the Ministry of Education, as well as resources produced by educators working in New Zealand’s public education system.
The release of open educational resources by the New Zealand state education sector is supported by the New Zealand Government.
He Oneone, he Kai me te Hāpori has been developed with open education principles in mind. This allows teachers and students to work with the content and reuse or share. Where possible linked resources are open and in all cases free to use for educational purposes.
